Wheel Help Question
Hey Guys, I put some late model six lug wheels on the 68. I sanded and painted, and added some new shoes. I think they turned out nice. I bought some of the after market center hubcaps. The attachment screws that came with the set are to small. What is the correct size bolt for the wheels? I seem to remember the originals having a taper on the end similar to a body panel screw. Where can I find the right ones? Thanks in advance for the help!

Lookin good Bert. IIRC the right bolts were tapered on the end, metal cutting type. I bet you can get what you need at your local auto parts store or Tractor Supply. They have a good assortment of standard and metric bolts and screws. Take your cap with you and size it up.

Hey Bert, nice looking wheels you got there. I went with the ralleys too! On my center caps I used a stainless allen head. I tried to find a button head around local and couldn't find anything (small town). The ones I used were 5/16-18 stainless with one flat washer. My pops had these at his place so I snagged em.
