Bed question?

When I bought this 72 GMC truck the previous owner bought a new metal short bed.The question is the in front of the wheel wells , the next hole there has round hole all of the rest are holes that are square for the carrairge bolts. Is this hole suppose to be used, there is no hole in the bed part, but there is a hole in the bed side were you would bolt it down.

Re: Bed question?

Great come over, We have one every sayurday night also at exit 17 in the shopping center behind Hardee's when the weathers good we have a good turn out. The hole along the the other holes that is the bed floor it's just round instead of square and the bed floor don't have the hole just the bed side. I would post a picture but I 've never figured who to post here.
