Door ?

i am looking at these doors on craigslist
why wont they fit a 1/2 passenger truck?
what are they worth?

they look like regular 72 doors to me ... no sure what the value of the doors are

If you look at those doors you can see that the bottom front corner is cut off. This is to clear the front fenders on the big trucks.

I believe the front lower edge is shaped differently than a standard C/K door.

They are doors off of a "big truck." C40, C50, etc...

I think all you need to do is weld in some new metal for the front corner. You can see the front corners are missing in the pic. That was the cutout for the big trucks front fenders. That's the only real difference I've even noticed between the two.

i noticed that lock doc
now i see why he says they wouldn't compatible with a 1/2 ton

so could i weld a corner piece in and make them work?

EDIT:67chevyredneck answered my ? about welding a piece in as i was typing.

I think so? You would want an inner and outer patch so the front corner has the correct rigidity. Just a new outside skin would be too flimsy. Also so it would "look right" on the inside of the door.

I would start a little lower unless you can weld the corners on yourself. Be sure and turn them upside down and check where the metal is crimped over the bottom edge. Don't take his word for no rust.

Passenger truck? I've never heard of our trucks referred to in that way. For hauling passengers? Guy's weird.
