I do know there from the 90s I have seen them on a bunch of 88-98 c-1500 conversion truck with the fiber glass body kits

Ok. well how about, does anyone know if you can still buy center-caps like this, and if so, is the center removable so you can paint them?

most tire shops should be able to get the center caps for you also summit racing sells them

A few different companys made them, including American Racing (AR39). They are not made anymore that i am aware of. I was trying to find a set of the black ones for winter wheels with no luck.

Here in New Mexico we call them Quisnarts because they look like that blade thing in the bottom of a food processor. I haven't seen them in a tire and wheel store for ages.
