Elec Choke wire connection?

Just put in an Edelbrock w/ elec choke. Want to make sure where to plug it at into the fuse box. The ignition unfused sound right??
I have a 69 chevy 350. Thanks for any help.

yep thats right, after you plug it in you can turn the key on and watch it to make sure its getting power

the ignition coil? if its a point dizzy the resistor might not give the wire enough power to heat the choke all the way but I could be wrong, just thinking out loud, is that what coil you were talking about

Ign unfused with an inline fuse gets my vote. I don't like to use the coil because there is already a resistor on that circuit and adding the choke will drop the voltage even further IMO. I tapped mine into the feed for my TH400 kick down at the carb. works great.

Remember I am old as dirt! If I remember, there should be two wires connected to the + side of the coil. One is the wire from the starter, and the other is the resistance wire you speak of. SO, if you wire the choke from the + side of the coil and you only have 9v+ it might take a bit longer to open, but WILL open. I would think that would be the case, but remember OAD, thats me! FIXITP might have a point. In the south we need a choke about 30 days a year, so the low voltage is not a big deal.
