What's the question...?
Did you check the FAQ area yet? I'm sure there's some alt conversion threads there. |

You did get a few responses over there, go check em out and see if they answered it, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=365869.
For the rest of you, here's the question: "I bought a 78 amp three wire alt for a mid 80's truck and have it in the Blazer already. I ran a new 10 ga red wire from the back of the alt to the dist block on the fender(passenger side). I also bought a pig tail to fit the alt. That pig tail has a 10 ga red wire and a 12 ga white wire. My origional pig tail from the factory harness is a blue wire and a white wire. As of now, the alt is not charging because these are not connected to anything. My question is, what do I connect these to? Can I splice into the factory blue and white wire pig tail? Need to fix tonight. Thanks guys"

Re: ck out electrical forum
Is the new three wire alt internally or externally regulated?
What didn't you go with a one wire alt, does the three wire have some advantage? |
