That truck wasn't built to sit in audio booths or as a daily driver. That still doesn't help the fact that there aren't any tunes for cruising. I guess they just really wanted to hear that big ole' 502. That is one beautiful truck though I still prefer Barbee's.

At 590 $100 bills I'd expect to see all Corvette running gear - as a minimum.

But that's just me.

Paying retail for all the work that's in this rig just isn't realistic. Don't get me wrong - it's a sweet ride, but somebody's kidding himself.

the doors could fit a little better. pait lines and chrome trim are off and one cannot determine whether or not the box lines with the cab on the drivers side. not trying to be that picky as the truck looks to be quite nice, though when finished to that degree it is the little things that stick out and they will kill you every tome

Its real nice but, $60,000 is stupid... These guys have to list mine when its painted. Never know, some people love buying overpriced stuff. They might get that price

It is difficult to find fault with this truck, however, that is to be expected on a $59K truck. It is hard for me to fathom investing that kind of money in a truck, even though the results are top-notch.

The shop foreman from a local custom fabricator, told me they charged a customer $61K for a frame-off restoration of a '61 Chevy swb fleetside truck. Based on the equipment installed on the truck, I find it hard to believe that kind of money can be spent on a '61. I can locate and purchase the most pristine, rust-free, dent-free complete sheetmetal for these trucks for less than $4K...that leaves a lot for custom touches, crate motor, tranny, driveline, suspension, paint & body, media stripping, glass, upholstery, etc., etc., etc.

Some have more money than time, so I guess they can afford it, but there is not much you would have to do without, if you are writing a check for $59K - $61K for a complete restoration on a '60-'66 Chevy/GMC truck.

It's a nice truck, but I couldn't see paying that much for it.

It's easy to spend $60k when you pay a shop $50+/hour to restore a car or truck for you. Hours are easy to rack up working on a truck, and most people nowadays don't even bother doing the simple things themselves.

That's a nicely detailed and well executed build, the fly in the ointment is what to pick initially to spend money on. I love these trucks, but they are what they are. If a person spent 60 grand having a shop build up a 55-57 Chevy (for example) could end up with a $100k+ car. $60k building up a 53 Plymouth will end up with the nicest 53 Plymouth worth about $10k. In these difficult financial times, I think most people are being more sensible about true value instead of emotional enthusiasm, or money spent.
