67-68 Factory Dually Bed: Does it exist?

I'm curious to find out if GM produced a factory dually in 67-68? I have heard of the big block camper duallys, but I have never seen one with an actual bed on it. Every one that I see has flat beds or dump beds. So, if you have em, BRING ON THE PICTURES!!!

I don't remember ever seeing one. I've seen them back then where they added flat metal on the wheel arches but they were homemade. Duallys with pickup beds were not that popular back then unless there was a real need for one.

Re: 67-68 Factory Dually Bed: Does it exist?

GM didn't make them. If they were dualys they were sold as cabs and chassis. Companies would buy them that way and build motorhomes, flatbeds, and dump trucks out of them. WES

The picture posted by 1lowdiesel is of one that had dualy fenders made from stepside fenders. It is not a factory original truck. I must say it looks cool though!! WES

Re: 67-68 Factory Dually Bed: Does it exist?

The Yellow 1971 GMC was my truck, I sold it in 2003, it had 1970 stepside fenders, wheel adaptors, a flipped rear axle and air bags on the rear, and a 454. It drove and towed like a dream, I wish I would have kept it now

Re: 67-68 Factory Dually Bed: Does it exist?

Nice job,Dale. You mean you sold a vehicle you'd still like to have? Huh...imagine that. I'm just joshin'. We should have built huge buildings when we got out of school, rented the space we weren't using to pay the building off and give us enough extra income to never have the need to sell any vehicle, and just park them in the building as it got paid off.. If we saw it getting full,by that time we'd just build another building and start over again. Hey,there's got to be a way to keep 'em all and I'm still working on it. LOL

Re: 67-68 Factory Dually Bed: Does it exist?

Like others have said they did not make a dually C-30 with a fleet or step-side bed.

This one is not factory, but it sure is cool. It is not mine, though. It is some one else's cool truck.

This truck has been posted on Craigslist in Seattle every few days for several weeks now. Home-made dually, price has not changed from $3500.

Re: 67-68 Factory Dually Bed: Does it exist?

Factory, I don't think so. Given the creativity of individuals, though, I don't think it matters wher the factory made fendered duallys or not. Here is a shot of a slammed dually I saw at the Turkey Run in FL on Thanksgiving weekend. More photos of the event can be seen in the photo album. 2012 Turkey Run Album - old trucks
