Re: pic of lifted 67

I've asked this here before since I am doing the same to my 68 C10 and nobody here really has done it. I just bought cast aluminum front and rear coil spring spacers off Ebay that should lift it about 2-3 inches all around. I may also fab up some 1.5 inch upper ball joint spacers and mount the ball joints from under the arm instead of on top like oem. That should give me more travel and maybe even more lift up front. I will then buy some one inch aluminum body lift donuts/blocks and lift the body just one inch. May have to extend steering shaft, lower radiator a bit, extend brake lines and elongate bumper bracket holes but should not be too bad since it is only one inch. I have seen others place the rear axle under the control arms, too, but this requires removing the mounts from the axle tubes and rewelding them on top of the tubes, which is not something I really want to do if I can avoid it. I did find a guy online that really lifted a 66 or older C10 by using a 73 and up Fabtech 2wd suspension lift kit but Fabtech discontinued it. Not sure if the even later model 2wd lift kits will work. Have not seen it done yet.

Hey now that`s a thought.I`m not sure,but I believe the`88+ f/e assembly will still swap,like the`73+.
