hey everybody i'm kicking off this build the right way with tons of pics. I like to read build threads so here's my contribution.

history: we bought this truck 1 1/2 years ago (we being my brother and I) its a 72 3/4 ton gmc 2wd with a bb 402 and a leaky as hell holley carb at least i fixed that last one. it was originally for my brother as a daily driver but gas was too high and it was too thirsty! so it sat for a year and now its mine.

my goal for the truck was just to do as little as i could to get it in a sellable condition clean, clean, spray paint, clean, sell. but it has become more involved than that now.

this is the primer im using i hope its good it was $26 a gallon
and i am attempting to "fiberglass" the dash pad sort of.

well i went out to take pictures and realized there really wasn't much to show. we took off both fenders, sanded ALOT
and cleaned some of the grease off. we will take the bed off this week so we can get to the back of the cab and front of the bed. I also primered both fenders so now the tailgate, cowl and fenders are nicely in primer.
has anyone used that rustoleum primer? I hope i don't regret using it.

spot priming followed by block sanding.
I use primer to fill shallow low spots

update time

well i primed both doors and the hood i also ordered my new rockers and cab corners they should be here next week. I started spraying the primed panels flat black. the only things i can say about the rustoleum primer is that its way soft compared to a standard epoxy primer but its really cheap, easy to thin/spray, easy to sand and easy to clean up.
I'm using an astro gravity feed spray gun with a 2mm fluid tip and i get very little orange peel. also keep in mind i'm not doing a showroom finish I just want to have fun with it.

that's it for now we are going to take the bed off sunday.
