gas tank sock
Orderd a new sock for the sending unit, Ive never pulled the sending unit out so I dont know what to expect. Will it be obvious how to replace the sock once I get it out or is there any tricks to doing this

Putting the sock on is not going to be a problem, but sometimes it may be stuck with varnish or debris. The real challenge is removing and especially replacing the assembly.
For safety reasons, be sure and use a brass drift or something that doesn't create a spark if you intend to tap it off and to reinstall. Pay particular attention how it comes off and be patient and work it a little at a time when reinstalling. |
