'09 Hunnert Car Pile Up Pics!

Made a 12 hour round trip on saturday,... to check out a bunch of cool old "traditional" hot rods, customs, gassers, trucks, motorcycles,... and of course,... rat rods.

Their website is www.hunnertcarpileup.com.
Here's a few trucks and etc.
I especially like the old "City Department" '67. Check out the flashing yellow light on top.

Re: '09 Hunnert Car Pile Up Pics!

The first pic is the "hand built" Missouri pickup that's been all over the H.A.M.B. Rain didn't scare him away.

Temps in the 40's and 5"-6" of rain the day before the show,... left everyone in a muddy mess.
The last pics are in the dry gravel area. (kinda dry,... looks like a lake from a distance!)
Still had a huge turn out of vehicles.

Re: '09 Hunnert Car Pile Up Pics!

Missed the show this year. The 'gator bait' truck is a friend's . It was a cold day this year but sounds like it was fun. Hope ya got to catch the parties in downtown Morris the night before the show. It's insanity at it's best. Sounds like the are going to have to find a bigger place to have it because I heard that they were turning away people at the gate late in the day. I heard that some guys drove for many hours,,only to be turned away-KB

I never saw anyone around it to ask. Plenty of people looking at it.
It might have belonged to a member of the "host club",... since it was parked by the show's entrance,

Re: '09 Hunnert Car Pile Up Pics!

I'll be back next year,... but will head up on friday night.

Check out their website and all the cool stuff that goes on here.
Live bands, "pin-up" girls, flame throwin cars, lots of vendors, pin stripers,... and a free PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon). There was a long line for the free beer.

The T-shirts are cheap and super cool looking.
Very layed back show,... with some high quality rides also.
There were several early Rivieras I would have loved to have owned.

Like I said,...look at the past pics from shows when the weather was better.

Awesome pics, I love that Rivi, I'm dying for a 63/64, but I'd still take a 65.

Re: '09 Hunnert Car Pile Up Pics!

I went .I saw .I wondered, looks like fun not caring in general about your paint or interior just make it loud maybe fast and oh yeah brakes too if you have time, seriously I cannot ignore how cool this scene is , I worry that all of the newcomers half assing the idea could ruin its appeal to me though. I stood at the gate as cars were being let in or in some cases invited to park outside the gate, it was cool to see some turned away never heard of that before , I got there at 9-30 parking lot near full left at 12-30 and they were not letting anyone else in!!! we need a show that is this cool or maybe we have one and i am just out of the cool loop!!! Oh yeah coolest car there was an olde coupe with a fire engine v-12 906cid engine with dual ignition frame was gusseted like crazy!!! sorry no camera but i am sure its somewhere on line

Thanks for the great post. Hated what they did to the Burb. I'll bet that Willis with the diesel engine turns a few heads when he drives through town! BTW, also loved that Riv.
