Re: In bed fuel filler.
It all depends on the filler location, size, and how many bends you have, but yea, for the most part, if you don't have a vent for the outgoing air from the incoming gas, it will be slow filling. In my setup, I welded a nipple about 2 inches below the top of my gas filler hole. The hose from the vent at top of the gas tank up to the nipple. Gas goes down the fill tube, air comes out above the incoming gas. Fast Fill for me!
In your case, are you using under bed tank, and putting a filler in your wooden bed, if yes, where are you putting your filler? right above the tank, then it is straight down into tank, no need for air vent. If you are putting filler off to the side and running elbow to the tank, then you could put the vent into just below the filler hole. Last edited by John Fabris; 10-12-2009 at 10:41 PM. |

Re: In bed fuel filler.
yes off to the side, blazer tank so the filler stup angles upward slightly so ill have to use a hose with a 90. i was thinking of buying this on ebay
300355001007 but it doesnt have a way to vent it? i wondered if i could run the vent hose up into the void of the bedside and use some kind of breather to keep the bugs out? maybe a valve cover breather clamped into the hose???? i just figured someone had ran into this?
