Re: a lil help from my friends

I paid $2500 for a 71 Jimmy with a fresh motor and tranny, (non cst) and only rust was floor and rockers, parts included. Came from SoCal on ebay to a local guy, and I got from him when he picked up another project.

Re: a lil help from my friends

theres one on cl near me right now for 3k and it looks to be in good shape with a new motor with less than 10k on it, being that its in the states as well it would be hard for me to just drive and go look at it. I was just wondering what prices should they be around at, if I dont get this one I would like to look for another...

There are some good deals on the Seattle Craigslist at just about any given time. You should able to find something with minimal rust (floor boards, bottom of doors). I'd watch for windshield frame rust as one of the biggest concerns. Replacement parts aren't available and finding a donor is getting more difficult.

its funny you say that the one I was looking at is in seatle. I wouldn't wanna look much farther than Washington, Idaho, Montana , theyre all right below me, I just dont wanna pay more for shipping than the vehicle, I have no passport right now and you need one to get in the states now.

Re: a lil help from my friends

gary is right along the lines of my thinking path. I have a bbc just waiting to get stuffed into something.

Thanks vance, Im pretty sure Idaho is right below where I live. I live near creston bc and three states are all within a couple hours drive, Montana Idaho and Washington..

I found a decent one in seatle but had no hatch and had rust on the 1/4's ;(
