Yet another 55-59 seat question
Hi All,
So I'm still looking for an original seat for my 3100, not much out there but I did find a guy with a seat from a 3600, aren't the cabs the same between the 2 trucks? And if so the seat form the 3600 should fit my 3100 right? Thanks, Sam |

Re: Yet another 55-59 seat question
Don't mean to hijack, but how close is the '60-'66 seat to a '55-'59? I'm sure the later seat will go in no problem, just wondering if the mounting holes are the same?
The reason I ask is because I found an awesome '60-'66 seat for $60 locally and my '55 has an ugly car seat in it currently.

Hey TF, I asked the same question last week and I was basically told that the seats in the 55-59 and narrower then the 60-66 so any seat from a later year might be too wide and stick out too far. I haven't measured anything to confirm but it makes sense as the cab on the 55-59 is pretty small. Thanks, Sam |

Re: Yet another 55-59 seat question
The one for 200 = 100 for shipping? I saw that and it's a possibility but I'd like to save a few coins and find one locally. So far today I've had 3 pop up. 2 in central NJ and one about 15 miles from my house, sometimes craigslist does pay off lol. Only problem neither seller has any pics, one guy basically said, $150 for each, he hads two of them and told me to bring tools. Ok not bad but the other guy who lives near me said his seat is ok, frame and tracks are real nice with little surface rust and to make him an offer. I hope to see the seat tomorrow. If it looks good and works then thats one less thing I need for the truck!!! |
