Re: Who can shorten a bed?

I can do it for free. I need to practice on one before I do mine.

I am actually keeping mine LWB. I just couldn't help myself. Good luck in finding some one.

You'll spend more money doing that than just buying a short bed in the first place. Think about it - two cuts that would have to be precise, welded up, ground down.

Not worth having it done, unless you can do it yourself. Buy a little 110 mig welder, take a welding and body work class at the local junior college, buy a can of Bondo and sawzall and get to it. Should not cost you much that way. Or, buy new/used short bedsides and convert.

Re: Who can shorten a bed?

Any good bodyman can do one,(they are getting rare tho) I know of one in Northern Mo that can do them, like everyone has mentioned, it aint cheap! I wonder what it would cost to buy 2 bedsides, a floor and the front of the bed, Ouch.... On second thought, I'd just leave it alone...
