My New Ride
Hey All,
I said I would post some pics, and here they are. This is my new '72. I got it for $3500 and the guy was asking $4000. Not as good as the post earlier where the person got it for $1000, but oh well. I probably rushed into this, but I couldn't pass it up. This is the first time in my life I could afford another classic (Been 12 yrs). My First was a '68 Nova and sadly I no longer have it. Here is what I know about it at this point: 350 engine w/ 10:1 compression TH350 Tranny 3.73 gears 3/4 ton coil springs 69 hood? Not sure if the bed is original or not, he said he has switched them out several times. He had five of them. Said there was 30,000-40,000 miles on the engine and tranny since rebuild. (just his word though) Any tips, suggestions would be much appreciated! I will probably become a regular at this board. Sadly I have lost quite a bit of the knowledge I had once when I had my Nova, but I guess I am going to have to start over. Should be fun! |

Re: My New Ride
The hood is correct for the 69-70 trucks which is wat your grille is also.
Thats rare someone put on a 69-70 rather than switching it out looks like good ride for 3500 so what are your plans for it if you dont mind me asking. |

Re: My New Ride
Like you said, you didn't get a steal, but I don't think you overpaid either. You have a nice, clean, solid looking truck! That alone is woth good $ to me! I like the color to.

Re: My New Ride
Right now it is just an emergency vehicle, but it is going to be a project car pretty much.
There is quite a bit I would like to do to the truck already, but just don't have the cash yet. Just going to do it a little at a time. I would like to get some rims and tires pretty quick, but not sure the best way to go. |

Re: My New Ride
Congrats on the beautiful truck and I would say that the price was good for being as clean as it is.
Cheers, Charlie
