What's with the amber looking taillight lens?

At least the pictures are worth saving to get an idea of what they originally looked like.

Re: Check this time capsule out

That is one clean truck. No way I can turn loose of the coin to buy it, then put A/C on it. But this is the only way I will ever be able to have a nice one.........buy it already built!

Re: Check this time capsule out

IIRC that one has been on EBAY before. I think the price is fair. But for as clean as that Jimmy is doesn't the engine compartment, master cylinder, core support not look as clean as everything else?

Only missing A/C and tilt! Can't tell if the jack and tire iron are there.

Re: Check this time capsule out

Is it me or does it look like the filler gromet has paint on it. I think this truck has been painted.

And it says the mirrors were changed and the holes were welded up and then the paint was blended.

Also... did they use what looks like a metal hose for the upper radiator hose back then??? And the engine campartment does look a little worn. I do see the writing on the fire wall.

Still a very nice truck. I would love to have it.

Re: Check this time capsule out

only bid to $14,900 reserve not met. Even with its flaws I wish it sold for the buy it now price. IIRC it went a lot higher and never made reserve when it was listed before.

I think that is just the reflection from the camera flash. Yeah I agree that the pics are a great reference.

Yeah Low Dough the steel radiator hose was original on 4x4s only I think.
I too think its been worked on and some stuff repainted (hood hinges weathered looking, and there is surface rust on the inside of the air cleaner snout even though it looks brand new otherwise) but it is a beautiful truck.

Later---DAC
