Steel wheel help please

Are there any specific common years and vehicle types to ask the junk yard for on the 15x7 6 lug steel rims that will fit my 67 truck?

I have 225/75R15 rubber that I want to put on them and they seem to fit well on the 7 inch wide rims I have now, so I figure that I should stay with 7in wide wheel.

Re: Steel wheel help please

Ok I am still a little unsure what years I can pull from. I just got a hold of two 15x8 6 lug 10 hole rallys, will these fit my 6 lug 67? If so what years did these wheels come from so I can search my local yards for two more. Thanks.

Re: Steel wheel help please

Yes they will.
They were found on Chevy/GMC full size 4x4 trucks from 73-87.

Do you still have drum brakes on the front?

Re: Steel wheel help please

Could you do me a favor and take a pic of your 225s on your 7" rims. I am about to put 5 lug 7" rallies on my truck and would like to see what the tire looks like. Thanks

Re: Steel wheel help please

This is my 69 stepside with 245/60R/15 on the front and 255/60R/15 on the rear. I have a 2 inch drop and will probably go with 265/70R/15 when the time comes for new ones. I think they will fill the wheel well better

Not much of a difference between the two.

Re: Steel wheel help please

I like that set up, looks good, do you have any pics from the rear to see the width of the tires?

Re: Steel wheel help please

I wouldn't mind going wider on the rear, but I will stay with the height I am running to keep a tad more ground clearance. My truck sees a lot of trips down to the river and it has a few dips that I barely clear as of now.
