light switch?
Got a question for you guys out there. How do you go about removing the light switch knob from the switch itself. I have done it once on accident and now that i want to do it i can't remember how.

Re: light switch?
Exactly what Slepysal says. On some switches, you may need to pull the knob to the on position before pushing on the little spring loaded button, and on some switches the button may be on top.

Re: light switch?
Pull the light switch knob out, reach under the dash and depress the spring-loaded button, push the knob to the off position and then pull the knob and shaft out of the light switch assembly. Then you will need a wide flat screw driver to remove the chrome dash bezel nut. It unscrews and now the switch can be dropped out of the back of the dash bezel. Now you can remove the factory connector from the switch and free it from the dash.
To install reverse this process, but just insert the pull knob and shafter into the installed switch all the way and it will be secured. Be patient because some are very easy to remove and some are not so easy to remove. They all come out the same way, so take your time and it will come out.
