Photo Needed of 72 Rear Brake Bracket
Hello Everyone, I just reinstalled the rear end in my 69 LWB project, and am running into an issue with the new SS brakeline. My truck has been converted to front disc brakes by swapping the front crossmember out with one from a 72, and when I order a new brakeline kit I was unaware that 72 and 69 hard brake line connect at a different location on the rear axle. I need to build a bracket to hold the lines where the tee connects to the rear brake hose, and am needing a photo of what this bracket looks like. I have addached a photo and circirled the area in yellow where the bracket is needed. Thanks

Re: Photo Needed of 72 Rear Brake Bracket
I'm not positive but I don't think those are the correct lines....I see a bracket thats bent up on yours that looks just like mine....where the hard lines "T" to the soft line.....
You could probably make one that is a simple angle bracket that bolts to the diff cover.... Here's a pic of mine (1970):

Re: Photo Needed of 72 Rear Brake Bracket
Hello Rack Man, Thank You for taking the time to post the photo, and yes, you are correct that the lines I have are not correct for my 69. It seems that in 72 Chevy moved the tee from the p/s tube to above the pumpkin, and these is a bracket attached to the housing bolt @ about the 1 O'clock positin to hold them. This bracket is what I'm needing a photo of.

Re: Photo Needed of 72 Rear Brake Bracket
Another thing I noticed on Rack's truck there isn't a hole for the trackbar? I wonder if that is because of the year or because it has leaf springs?

Re: Photo Needed of 72 Rear Brake Bracket
Thanks LkyDevilz, Thats what I needed, also it looks like Rack's truck has a transfercase, so being a 4WD is probaly why he doesn't have a trackbar.

Re: Photo Needed of 72 Rear Brake Bracket
Leaf sprung trucks do not use a trac bar.
