So would raising the hangers have about same affect as a flip kit...cause a few i know that had flip kits were messing around and took off too quick and the rear end slipped out and messed a few things up..so i want to be able to play around in my truck....so what would you guys recommend?

Re: lowering question
A flip kit will give you more drop, and is easier to do. I would bet the "few you know" either had cheap flip kits, home made flip kits, or they were installed incorrectly. Get a quality flip kit from Bell Tech, Western Chassis, etc....install it correctly, and you won't have any problems.

Re: lowering question
Only thing I've ever seen was the rear diff pointing up at the bottom of the bed beause the perches werent welded on the axle tube and it spun on acceleration. Tore up the u-joint, rear brake hose, etc.

Re: lowering question
Adding leafs on a flip wont do anything...because they are now below the axle. All you could do I guess would be to reposition the hangers down on the frame an inch or two..but that would be a LOT of work. I say unflip it and go with shackles and hangers, or lower the front more.
