Door hole spinoff question....

My 70 has a hole just below the vent window on both the driver and passenger doors. Was this for a knob operated option on the wing windows? I isn't just drilled, it is stamped into the metal so the hole is countersunk. I haven't ever noticed it in pics of other doors.

Sorry no pics handy and it is pouring rain right now. They could be doors from another truck. There seems to be a ton of parts from other trucks on here. LOL

Axle, tailgate, maybe doors, who knows what else.

Re: Door hole spinoff question....

You have 72 doors. A re-enforcement screw was used to sandwich the vent windows in tighter.

Re: Door hole spinoff question....

Do any of the vendors on here sell the right screw and ferrule for this application?

Re: Door hole spinoff question....

I have not found any reproductions made from any vendors (not saying there may not be some?). If you were a subscribing member you could post a want to buy thread and I am sure one of the board members who has parts has some. That is where I got mine, and that picture. I had to buy some after my body guy lost mine and tried putting just a screw in and it kept pulling through!
