My C10 69 does not has fan clutch and is too noisy specially on the highway Í´d like in the future install electric fan how I saw in a topic at this forum but for a while do you think can I use one w/ fan fan cluth?

Kind of hard to understand exactly what you want, but I think you are trying to decide between doing an electric fan or a fan clutch. I went with a fan clutch and the noise level dropped by probably 70%. I'm sure an electric fan would be even more, but I didn't feel it was worth the effort.

OK my truck rightknow has a seven blades fan without cluth probably old version for inmediately I´d like to install one with clutch while I´ve money to instal an electric fan, so I want to know if any from a C10,C20,suburban or jimmi 87-83 will fit?

It's more of a clearance issue between the crank pulley, and also the radiator. Part of this is determined by whether you have a short or long water pump. The other is determined by the spacing on the clutch. What I did is I drove the truck into my local auto parts store (a REAL one, not Pecker Bros!) and had them look at it. The guy was able to find one with the proper spacing so it cleared everything.

This past winter I pulled the Original fan and replaced it with an electric fan from a Subaru that I had laying around. The Subaru used two fans and I used the larger of the two. It works well and quiet at highway speed, then again it never turns on at Highway speed. On the 292 a fan is superfluous if you are moving and just robs power and fuel economy.

I'm running a nylon flexfan the P.O. installed. No clutch, quiet and keeps the motor at 190 degrees.

I have a '69 C30 that is capable of hauling twice its weight. With a car on the back, going up hill, my 350 (underpowered and working hard) stays perfectly cool with the stock 7-blade configuration and heavy duty clutch under those conditions. Those clutches are easy to find at most parts stores, and as other people have said, it's just a matter of finding the correct shaft length. If you go with a vendor like Hayden (which makes many of them for the chains), they even have specs on their website for each clutch part number and application. Some of the Hayden clutches are a little iffy in quality (there have been some bad runs over the years), so it's not uncommon to need to try one or two before you get one that behaves properly.

I am a fan of electric fans (no pun intended) on modern engines, but a good stock mechanical fan with a clutch usually just works without hassle.

Car, I don't recall what model. My Daughters ex-boyfriend left one on my property after the split up. After two months of looking at it, I stripped it of anything I thought I could use and called a junker to haul it off.

It had two fans i took them both. I put the larger on on the C-20. Currently it is in front of the radiator. It can be wired to blow in or out. It seems to move a little more air blowing out so I set it up that way. It cools the engine fine, even in the city, idling in August the temp does not exceed what is was with the original rigid fan,

Why in front of the radiator? It was easier to mount without making use of existing holes with no modification to the truck, mine is original and I try not to drill extra holes if possible.

The 292 does not use a fan shroud, the 350 did. I just picked up a plastic 350 fan shroud . This winter I will mount the electric fan inside the fan shroud and put it on the Engine side of the radiator, that will keep it out of site as well. I am pretty sure the 350 fan shroud will bolt into the truck with no modification either.

Try a 95 Cougar XR7 fan, Its identical to the two speed MarkVIII fan and is a very easy install. They are about $70 from Rockauto.com part is #620950

i have a 4 blade fan on my truck that does not have a clutch on it, and it isn't loud at all
