My little boys new atv

So here is the story. I got this quad for my 5th birthday in 1986 brand new. I rode the wheels off of it for who knows how long I dont remember. We then sold it for 500 to a family friend with a younger little boy. His little boy continued to ride the wheels off of it and then he completely rebuilt the motor put a new seat cover on it new tires etc. and sold it to a guy for 900. That was a year ago. So yesterday my dad was driving and saw it on the side of the road not knowing it was the same one. It had a sign on it that said "for sale $150.00 needs work". He knew I was looking for a good little quad for my little boys fourth birthday in april and was expecting to spend 1500 to 2000. Those little things are getting high. So he stopped found out it was once mine and paid the man thinking how much work could it need. Well turns out it cost me 47 dollars for a chain and sprocket set and it is as good as new. This has been an awesome weekend for me. That little quad makes me remember the happiest time in my life next to my kids being born and I can remember getting it like it was yesterday. Any way I know its not a truck but I had to share with my extended family.

Nice lookin ride. I remember getting my little Honda 70 three wheeler. Seems like yesterday. I bet I put 100k miles on that thing. And it would go forever on a tank of gas.

But congrats anyway! Have fun reliving all those fun memories as your kid enjoys it as you once did.

Re: My little boys new atv

Those are great, I had a Honda 110 then I moved up to a Honda 200x the best times of my life when I was in high school riding the trails....

That is freaking awesome.......

I should already start looking for one for my one year old son.....

Re: My little boys new atv

Great looking quad.

Heck, I can hardly remember when I was 5.

The only thing we had to ride then that had a motor was an old ford red belly tractor. I had to stand up to ride it.
