1969 model year for Blazers and Jimmys for sure. Maybe 1970 for trucks, but I think there are some factory '69s with the TH350/NP205 also.

Re: 1ST Year for 4x4 with Automatic Tranny???

It`s was a cloudy introduction 69/70.1969 is the earliest number,so pick that.It was definitely 1969 for Blazers.I am 99.9% sure it was 1970 for the other models. The difference is when the NP205 took the place of the Rockwell 221.The`70 trucks I`ve seen came with 4spd/205s as well as automatics.all`69 trucks i`ve seen were 4spd/221s.
