help with my carb

I've got a 2bbl on my 283. The choke rod and bimetalic piece on the manifold are both missing. So it stalls in the cold and over idles when it is warm. Tried NAPA, shucks, and Auto Zone today. No one has it. I've got a lot of extra carb parts. Does anyone have a picture of the side of there 2bbl so I can try and make something. I'm also going to cruise the salvage yard, but how many 2bbl 67's are around?

Paid for it with $$ made from recycling bottles and cans. Oregon pays .05 per can/bottle. Now doing restification with recycled parts purchased with recycling $$.

Go back to Autozone and ask them to let you look in their Wells catalog. There's lots of choke thermostats in there; I found one for my 71 Rochester Quadrajet in there. Good luck!

If you feel like going over to Bremerton theres quite a few 67's and 68's in the lot over at airport auto wrecking with 2 bbl's. Theyve got around 25 67-72's.
