Locking tailgate?

Does anyone know of a kit to make our tailgates lockable?

Try this-


Seriously, I don't know of anyone that make a locking kit. I do remember that my buddies were using standard hose clamps around the release side of the hinge to make them harder to lift off.

They make a bracket that goes above the hinge on the release side to block it, which keeps the tailgate from being able to be stolen.

I've seen kits to put a power lock actuator inside the tailgate, which would keep the handle from moving and thus locking the tailgate. You would have to run wire all the way to the cab and install the switch somewhere but it would work.

i have one on my 04 it works flawless with my power locks
