One more REAR END QUESTION

Probably the last question about rear end. So far I´ve been doing questions about how converting a 73-87 rear end into 67 -72 and all the information you have given is very clear but I Saw in the junk yard, where you pick your parts, a lot of clunkers trucks that has rearend with Disc Brakes so I think anyways I will pay the same either Drums or Disc or with a minimum diference. Can you give ideas?
I think the wide of the original rearend is 61 inches. is there any alignament problem if the newest version is more wide?
thank you for all your support but I don´t want to do anything until I´m very sure to do the best upgrade
