Re: Wiring diagram for 64

Guys, I am running into some trouble getting my turn sigs and brake lights to work. I started tracing it down but have not found anything yet. If any of you guys have a wiring diagram, man i would appreciate it?

Re: Wiring diagram for 64

The majority of these issues is with a poor ground on these trucks. Make sure your grounding straps are in place and also check the buckets on the tail lights, park lamps and head lamps, but cleaning them and making sure there is no corrosion, rust, dirt, etc., preventing a good ground.

Good luck with your electrical issues and they can all be exorcized!

Does this help you at all?
Just like LILRED66 said, 99% of turn signal/brake light problems are ground issues. Take a long piece of wire or even an extension cord and put one side on your negative battery terminal, then start scratching around on the light assemblies with the other end. You'll probably find your problem.

Re: Wiring diagram for 64

Thanks for the help folks. I have pretty much got all my issues fixed. The wiring diagram was instrumental in helping me track stuff down. I first found that my brake lamp switch was bad. After i fixed that my turn sig would not work. I found that the turn sig switch was missing a part. I had to just get a new one. Now I am pretty much all going except for my heater motor seems not to run very fast. I am thinking the speed regulator resistor is bad. I am getting there.. Thanks again... God Bless..

Any chance i can get a emailed version of that wiring diagram. Ive fixed some of my problems, but under my dash is still a rats nest and still issues with lights too. After I read the above responces, i will be checking the ground wires first thing
