Exhaust Swap

Hi all, first of all I want thank all of the people here that take time to respond to all of the questions. The amount of info on these forums is awesome!

I have an opportunity to pick up a 1985 Sliverado long box that has a 383 with headers and dual exhaust. I'm hoping to drop this into my '72 C10. With respect to the exhast piping, I'm thinking the trailing arms are going to be in the way of a direct swap. The tranny cross member is different too. Anyone have any experience with this? I don't mind putting some new piping on, but I'm hoping that at least the headers will fit. (Due to the "stepped" tranny cross member on the '85, one exhaust pipe goes above and one goes below)

Thanks in advance.
