Longhorn bed

Has anyone taken apart a longhorn box and made it into a reg. 8ft. box, just wondering if there is any fab work involved or does it un-bolt and remove the 8inch. section and bolt it back together ant info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Re: Longhorn bed

Those Longhorn beds are hard to come by. I would sell the Longhorn bed 8'6" and purchase an 8 footer bed. You would probably have some extra money afterward.

Re: Longhorn bed

Not such an easy conversion to do. The front inner and outer edges of the 8' section are not folded over the same. WES

while they are worth some money, odds are, you'll hold onto it for years before it moves.
