I have a set on my 70 I put them over the bumper bolts so I did not have to drill the bumper. I think the gm engineer who made the install template was smoking something. Why not put them in front of the rail for strengnth?

I have aset for my project, also have a NOS set (white) in color that i would sell if anyone wants to do the same.
I'm shaving a narrowing my bumper while using the shorty bumper gds.
Kinda like Chip Foose does on his projects on Overhaulin.......

This set is repo. Since I drive the truck to Pamona swap meet in CA. and around Phoenix I decided to save the origional set for later. They fit very good. They are a bit more rounded on the lines than the original ones which are sharper.
