Seattle Swap Meet (Monroe Fairgrounds)
Great meet and lots of good deals. Many trucks on site and many for sale. Wish I could have taken pictures of them all! I scored a rustfree front fender for $15, drivers side door for $15 and '67 grille trim for $5. I should have gone back to get all the '67-'72 sheet metal from the guy that was unloading it ALL! He had a perfect hood...I already have two! Met LeRoy, PJ and Oldiron there on Saturday. LeRoy was "slapping leather" pretty hard. He had a console and misc parts in his wagon and the last time I saw him he had a counter full of new chrome bumpers, trim, tailgates and the works! Couldn't keep up with that guy...LOL! CARS4567 made it out there and scored some ralley wheels. There were some great parts if you needed them and some great trucks. I best deal I passed up was the Gen 4 Camaro posi rear end with disc brakes for $320! I just kept picturing it under the short stepside '67!

I made it out there Sunday. Picked up some tires, bumper and a hubcap. A lot of good parts for cheap and some not so cheap. Next one is mid October. Every year May & Oct.

Unfortunately, I didn't make it. I spent the whole weekend trying to get my truck running right. Looks like I'm going to be working on it some more after work : (
Would have liked to have met you all. Maybe next time. I still think that we should have a "NW Get Together" sometime this summer. We could all meet at a state park on a sunny weekend and have an impromptu Show-n-Shine. ------------------ '69 K-5 Blazer - 350/TH350, 6" lift, 35" tires Bothell, WA

Yeah, I didn't get to go either. I just barely got my truck running on Saturday with the rebuilt carb before I had to hop in it and drive back to Seattle from Enumclaw (1 hour)!
I had to be home by at least 6:30 pm, and my truck was the only ride. I was getting nervous around 4:30 when I had massive fuel leaks and the idle wouldn't adjust. Figured it all out, got it adjusted, and poof! It was done with 15 minutes to spare. I got home, jumped in the shower, and my wife and I were off to see Steven Wright at the Paramount (funny). Next day I was tied up all day with errands I've been putting off...damn I need some doors too. ------------------ '69 3/4 ton C20 2wd w/ 350ci/400THM and a wood bed! A perfect hood? *cries*
I just can't handle $400 for a new hood.. guess I'll stick with the old rusty one.
