shoulder strap seat belt

How common are the shoulder strap seat belts. I have never seen them but the parts truck i got yesterday has them.
Also There is an option on the glove box sheet i had a question about. It say
Pick - up box floor.

Re: shoulder strap seat belt

if it is a 3 point recheting belt, it's not original.
If it looks like a lap belt bolted to the B pillar, then it is a stock or stock type at least. They were pretty uncommon. No real production numbers, but If memory serves, they list it as less than 2%
They are desirable if in good shape and a complete set.
Bed floor means opional wooden floor in the bed on 61/2 foot and 8 foot fleetside bed trucks.

Re: shoulder strap seat belt

stepsides only came with wooden floors.
On the model number, listed on the SPID (glovebox sheet) is it listed as a xxxxx04, or xxxxx34? (04 is stepside, 34 is fleet)

Re: shoulder strap seat belt

What year is the parts truck fleetside trucks could also be had with the wood floor. but became more rare and fewer between by 71-72 in short fleets, the longhorn trucks had them as did all of the stepsides as mentioned before. The bed floor optio was popular with farmers because if they hauled cattle the wood was easier for the animals to stand up on .
