Suspension & hard tonneau cover for 58-59 fleetside?
Looking for a hard tonneau for my 59 Fleetside.
The only company I know of is Gaylords. (1) Are there other companies that make them? (2) Does Gaylords or anyone else make one so that you can lower the tailgage without opening the tonneau? (3) Does anyone have experience with the flat out engineering front and rear kits for these trucks? Curious if the 1 inch wider 88-96 front is better or worse here than the 84-87? |

As long as we are looking, I would like a tri-fold type like the Lund but with a hard cover so it can't be cut and will hold snow. I'd like to be able to fold back the back third and put in my dog kennel.

I just spoke with the people at Gaylords and they sent me some pics of one they recently did for a customer. Kinda pricey but sweet.

How difficult would something like this be to make from steel tubes and fiberglass, I'm sure it would not cost $1800 if you have some glassing skills.
