steering column help
have a 80 truck that was a 3 on the tree and I,m changing to a auto ,the new column has different plugs than mine.I don,t know what year it came out off.the flat plug looks ok but the plug at the bottom of the column and the main square ones are different.I wrecked the one on the old shaft,all the little springs came out so I don,t know if you can swap these over or not,hope you can understand this question,is my first column swap

You can get a little tool to pop out the connectors from the plugs and swap to the correct plugs.

another ?,what is the small plug in at the bottom of the steering column just at the firewall,the 3 on the tree one is different than the auto column one,just takes a 3 prong plug I believe

scrap that idea,I broke it.How can I bypass it or rewire it.the auto column has 4 prongs and the standard one had only 2

You really don't want to bypass it
it is a safety there for a reason find you a junk yard and get one and the correct plug.
