Re: help plz with rearend
The 70s will be a better axle, inless the 80s 3/4 is a full floater. I think the only difference is shock mounts, they are longer on a 4wd, but will still work.

Re: help plz with rearend
Semi floaters have a small dished hub in the center of the wheel mounting flanges like on a half ton just to center the wheel. Full floaters have a hub that sticks out with bolts in it. On a full floater, the hub and axle shaft are seperate pieces which is the reason for the hub with the bolts in it.

Re: help plz with rearend
niether axle will fit your 1 ton without relocating the spring perches on the axles the 1 ton has a perch center of 40.5 and 3/4 tons have a center of 42.5in unless its in a 3/4 ton CrewCab only exception

Re: help plz with rearend
Not sure if it matters or not, but go with the 70s 14ff. E-brake cables should be the same on your truck as the 14b, so you could just swap them over. If you dont' need or care bout e-brake, then doesn't really matter. The front axle from the 3/4 will be a 10 bolt, but why would you replace a 60 with a 10 bolt?
