Frozen lock cylinders

My passenger side door and manual rear glass crank have frozen lock cylinders. I've seen the replacements kits for two doors and I've seen replacement cylinders for the rear glass but never a kit with all three, and I definitely want the same key to work on all three.

PB Blaster hasn't helped. Any ideas how to free up what I have?

I saw this done on one of the Spike TV shows and might try it if need be, but I was curious if anyone else had conquered this without disassembly.

While I like having the option of putting together a rust remover with rebar, a 5-gallon bucket, and my battery charger, it's not going to work on this problem. Further digging says that the innards are brass. More digging says the key is most likely the culprit. Since it it an Ace Hardware 'trace' that's so old most of the finish it gone, and it barely works in the drivers door, I'm going to get a locksmith to cut some new keys this afternoon.

Fingers crossed, I hope it's that simple...

Your local Gm dealer could probably key a set of locks too. Or make a key from a lock cylinder.

I called them first because they will cut the keys by the VIN with proof of ownership. But they don't go back to 1979. I think he said they only go back to 1990 right now.

I had new keys cut, now I can open both doors. But the lock on the rear glass (manual crank) is a replacement item and takes a different key. That I don't have... But I can buy a new assembly and they'll key it to the doors for $35. Gotta find that catalog now...

I know the door lock cylinders are available from GM. Is the rear lock cylinder available?

I don't know if the dealership has it or not. classicparts.com has it for $20 or so, my catalog is home and I don't recall the exact price. I do need to check with the dealership.

autozone has the locks cylenders for 16bucks for 2 locks and 2 keys they have the lift gate motor also if you need it

I checked... Classic Parts wants $20 for the lock cylinder, the dealership wants $35... No big surprise there. But they're on EST, so I've got to remember to take the catalog to work.
