Readend saddle change

I have a 12 bolt rearend on my 63 with 6 lug axles trailing arm/coil suspension. On my 79 donor truck i have a 12 bolt rearend (littlebit wider) with leaf springs.

The question is has anyone here cut off thesaddles and panhard bar mount from a complete rear end and transfered them to another axle. Is this possible or not recommended. Do i have to buy new saddles and mount.

Thoughts/examples/ picture?

Jory
