Good deals go very quickly. I've been lucky and scooped up some within mintutes of being listed on Ebay.

Is it just me or is $135 kinda high for shipping? I have never shipped anything that size, so I don't know. Still, $225 seems like a good deal for a new grill.

You are correct. $135 is not kinda high, it is high. High as giraffe booty to be exact. I've shipped a set of wheels with tires on them for about that price and I know a grill is not heavier than 4 wheels and tires. I also shipped a TKO 600 transmission to a buyer, fellow board member breeh on this site, with all accessories, dual clutch, bellhousing, yoke, hydraulic slave, etc for $150 and I know it was heavier than a grill. But we all know that sellers on eBay get rich off of shipping charges.

Great pice! The high shipping price lowers their Ebay fees, since the sold price is what is used to determine how much Ebay gets.....

Re: That was quick...missed deal by minutes

I shipped a 68 gmc grill not that long ago And it was $118- $125 from dhl, fed ex, and ups. Once it is oversize, weight doesn't really matter.

Shipping was not that high, oversize stuff is high to ship and get damaged often

Re: That was quick...missed deal by minutes

I checked on my ups account and to ship a package that size from here to the middle of Texas and insure it for 250 with signed for delivery would run 130 ups red or second day air. It didn't give me a ground price.

Fedex ground home delivery to an address I have shipped to in Chicago would be 87.23 with my discount. That is for an 80x20x6 30 lb package insured for 250.

By the time he pays for a roll of tape and gas and time to haul the package to the shipping office the shipper really didn't beat up on the buyer too bad this time and may have come out even.

It would cost me 100 in gas round trip to run over to Classic Heartbeat in Olympia, wa from my house in my truck, about 213 miles one way door to door.
