need help with clutch
while my 78 4x4 is only a couple of minor light fixes away from inspection, there is still one thing not related to inspection that needs work.my truck is a four speed but has a cab transplant the new cab was auto so the previous owner just cut a hole in the floor for the clutch rod the hole is oval 3 or 4in. long and a little narrower.i have never seen a stock 4 speed so im not sure how the factory set up looked.this hole needs to be mostly water and air tight so im looking for pictures and or suggestion on how to deal with the hole.cant wait to have this truck home its at my friends garage.almost there!

Re: need help with clutch
i had a 76 which i did the same thing and unfortunately GM does not make the rubber cover anymore and all the ones i found in the scrap yard were junk... I wound up never finding one and i wound up getting rid of the truck because of my sons antics
