Re: New shoes for my 72

Umm.... nice wheels but I think the tires are umm... rubber bands. Those wouldn't even survive my drive to work. The pot holes and train tracks would do those in. Heck, I worry at times when I am driving my Cherokee with 245/75-16. LOL

Re: New shoes for my 72

You should try 22s, 295 30 22's I think they would look much better. That sure is a nice truck but those wheels make it look funky, Those wheels are nice but that combo just doesn't flow right with the look of your truck...

Re: New shoes for my 72

Yeah.....no. Killer truck, nice wheels, but those tires just don't do it justice. I am totally down with 18-22 inch hoops, but if you're gonna advertise the fact you have some ponies with twin carb stacks pokin' out da' hood- you might want to testify to that with a stoplight roast once in awhile. But with those meats.....I think that's kinda out of the question. The "East L.A. lowrider on switches" look just doesn't fit the body style IMHO.

He stated it's less tire than he wants, no need to be hard on him. I think they look good, the wheels and truck that is. A little more tire would definitely improve the look though. Killer truck you have there.

I think when look at each others trucks there is always something we would do little different. Thats what makes us unique. Sweet truck in my opinion. Drive the hell out of it and then get the tires you want.

Sweet ride. Is she sportin' big or small block power? I'll keep my eyes posted for it next time I'm in Redmond. I've got friends who live off NE Rimrock. I digg the wheels too.

Re: New shoes for my 72

That is the beauty of a custom truck, it is your own expression of what YOU like, not everyone else. Nice truck, very clean and obviously alot of work done on it. I bet there are a handful of guys working on yearS long projects that would love to be rolling in somethin like that. Not every style is for every person, but congrats on YOUR truck, its very clean lookin'

She has a 400 small block with tunnel ram dual Holley carbs. I live in NW Redmond not to far for my your friend. As for my truck the tires are too small but i didn't want to do more cutting right now to fit more meat so I stuck with the same overall height that i was running before and I got a killer deal on these tires. I have two other projects I am working on and don't have time to make more room. But too be honest every show I go to it the same thing is it is on this website some guys tear it up and some are cool. Its all good its my truck and its built the way i want it. If you like it great if you don't tear it up its not going to change my mind on what or how I build my rides.

Re: New shoes for my 72

I like the wheels better with the daytime pics. I say drive the hell outta it and when you can, get the bigger meats. It will fill out much better with some more rubber.
Otherwise, dig the truck man. Don't listen to these guys that have been drinkin the hater-ade...

I am a bit surprised by the lack respect some of you have towards other peoples rides. I got out of mini trucking for that exact reason. For some reason I thought guys into the older stuff were a bit more mature. To many folks want to bad mouth other peoples rides because they don't like the style in which they build THEIR rides. I have a ton of respect for anybody who builds a car or a truck anything from completely stock to extreme. Even if I don't really like it I still don't bash it.
