Difference in tailgate handles - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

well im finally putting my truck back together but i have no tailgate hangle for my newly painted tailgate. I wanted to order the chroome handle that lmc sell but the one they have listed for my year is out of stock and wont be back in stock for another 9 weeks, but you know that might as well be 6 months. They have another part number for 75-81 tailgate. what is the difference? the only difference i see in the picture is the thickness of the handle, one of them looks a lil bit bigger, Can someone please help. Thanks
