For sure all the panels are aftermarket and sometimes you get panels (especially tailgates) that don't fit very well. They want over $1000 dollars and you don't even get a bed or fenders. For that price you could buy a real cherry original used bed that has everything. I would look and ask around and also check out Craig's List in your area for a good used one. Also, you have to consider the shipping charges for something that big and heavy. BTW, Welcome to the board.

I have less than $2500 in mine. That is with new bed sides, head agte, talegate, wheel tubs, and the whole wood bed kit.

depends on what you are trying to accomplish and if you can do the work yourself..... If you are goning to have to pay a body man to strip, prime, bodywork and paint then you may be better off with new stuff.....

You should come to California and buy the whole truck. Some of these guys say they can buy running trucks all day long for under a thousand and some even get them free.

Question Re: new box for our trucks on ebay, any good or?

Heck if i could buy a running truck for under 1k that had a ggod bed and ran i would diffently do that. Any other alternatives that look good? I purchased a 98 stepside bed in nice shape but don't really want to go that route.Picked it up just in case that i couldn't find a fleetside replacement. Anyone make a totally wood or bolt on steel that look good. Don't like flatbeds!
