Airbag wiring check list, please help

well im still waiting on my t fittings from suicide doors, been like a month now since i ordered them, but anyways. i think this weekend i would like to start wiring everything up since i just finished bolting my bags up over the weekend. I tried searching but all i came up with is valve wiring. I basically need a total check list of wire, connectors, etc. of what to buy. thanks

It's hard to answer such a generic question. I have no idea what your system consists of so it's hard to recommend what you will need.

Re: Airbag wiring check list, please help

if this helps....1 airlift 400 compressor, 8 valves, 5 switch switchbox. that's all the wiring involved.....and to narrow down the question-im looking for how many feet and what gauge wire do I need, along with anything that will make it easier to wire it up. for example, I seen in a recent magazine tech article when they were installing the wires, they ran like a connector strip or something for the valves to the box. looked pretty cool. all of them connected to a strip, and from that stip to the switchbox.

Re: Airbag wiring check list, please help

~ black = ground to frame
~ red = SWITCHED 12v hot to activate valve
~ use a quality relay on the compressor - I like Bosch brand

pretty much covers anything electrical on a bag system.

Re: Airbag wiring check list, please help

for the compressor relay I was gonna go with the one suicide doors has by viair. could just a simple patrts store a/c compressor work? my main concern is what's a good amount of wire to get and what gauge I need, and how much of each

Re: Airbag wiring check list, please help

The wire size(gauge) depends on what comps and how many you run.
We sell complete wiring kits for single comps all the way up to 4 comps.
Let me know if you would like a price on anything.
