New member: Where should I buy 84 GMC body parts? already searched

I have a 1984 GMC Sierra 3500 pickup that needs some restoration.

I have searched and it seems that most people here stay away from LMC. Was going to buy from them to save on oversize shipping.

I basically need:

2 fenders
driver rocker panel
front chrome bumper
dash pad
1/4 panel patches
mirrors
tail lights
velour seat cover w/foam
body gaskets & window seals
grille trim
plastic door sills
antenna
front sidemarker lense

I would like to try to use 2 or 3 companies to save on shipping.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum 2badgn.

I can personally recommend Capt Kaos who is a site vendor for many of those parts. Chris is a great guy to deal with.

For the others, I would consider Brothers Truck parts- http://www.brotherstrucks.com/

I have had good results from them as well.

a lot of stuff is very cheap quality, dont fit. such as door panels, anything plastic. but then again, nothing remanufactured will never be as good as original gm. as far as fenders and sheet metal, i have yet to find a single manufacturer that makes the perfect replacement. so it will all require modification to get it to fit rite.

A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.

Ditto on Captkaos, http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com/

I haven't dealt with other board vendors yet.

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.
