Re: opinion
I like the way its sittin' in the second pic. It flows better with the surrounding angles. Nice work on the gauge cluster, looks cool. Couldn't tell ya on the socket, someone will chime in.

Re: opinion
I like the second pic of the adaptor plate as well--matches the angles of the surrounding dash panel.
I can't see the light socket from the pic very well...but check the wiring to see if it was a PO spice job--there's some funky stuff out there, and he may have added it for some gawdawful reason. Underdash courtesy light was my first guess, but I believe the fixtures for those were black, and it's snowing outside, so I'm not going to verify it for you. Grab a parts catalogue--lmc has worked for me in the past--and see if you can scour it to find something similar. Good looking adaptor, though.

Re: opinion
hey nice dash! I believe the light socket might me your gear indicator light. It's actually a fiber optic. Just remove one of your dash guage bulbs and replace it with this socket and your indicator will be luminated when you pull on your light switch.

Re: opinion
That gauge cluster looks sweet! Post some pics of it when installed. I've never seen one that color, I think it will look really good installed.

Re: opinion
i haven't cut the dash yet so it just had the original radio but i don't like how when you cut the dash you can see the round edges on the side, so my dad showed me that plate and i knew it would look great in the blazer, it kinda has that classic look.
