is this a weld on or bolt on piece?

I need to repair or replace this. I dont want to patch as much as possible.
Does it bolt on or is this weld on? Its an inner cowl panel.

It welds on. I think there are a series of spot welds around it that have to be drilled out to do it exactly right.

If you don't have the nose off the truck yet Coyotedav's thread shows some fairly decent photos of the front of the cab and you can see how it goes together. Spot welded and seam sealed. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=371676

Yes it welds on ..They were spot welded at factory so you will have to Plug weld the part to get it close to factory. Unless you want to invest in the equip to do it like the factory.

My nephew is in 1'st cav over their in Irag. He's from Las Vegas. Supposed to be back next month to FT Hood.
Good Luck

I guess you could bolt it on if you wanted to. I would just weld in on

I think they were describing that the panel is under the top cowl cover, which is bolted on.
