Hoodie for the truck
Well after many, many months of going without a hood and lots of pressure to put it back on, especially from my main financer (my wife), I finally gave in. I could have went with a cowl but if I'm to do this, it wasn't going to be total coverage. About a month ago I took it to a local fabricator who cut the opening and welded a lip around the inside. During the trial fit, I wasn't satisfied with the way the hat came thru the opening, so I ordered a 2" spacer to go under the injector plate and hat. Now I can run the breather, which is held on by quick release pins, without a much larger hole. While I was at it, I ordered some black butterflies to replace the red ones. Not sure if I like them just yet tho. It's been so long seeing her without a hood and after doing this, I guess I have to agree with the wife, she has a more finished look. Just got her back from paint Friday and spent a better part of the weekend re-cleaning everything up. Here is her new look......

Re: Hoodie for the truck
Thanks alot guys!!!! Nice to know I'm achieving my goal of have a visually high impact cruiser whether she is fast or not. At the moment I have no track times (maybe some day) and no dyno numbers, been there and done that and probably won't do this again because of the big let down factor.
